RENUNGAN KETUJUH DARI KITAB FILIPI:

“HIDUP DEMI KRISTUS ATAU MATI DEMI IBLIS?”

FILIPI 1:21

“Karena bagiku hidup adalah Kristus dan mati adalah keuntungan.”


Banyak sekali orang yang mengambil keputusan untuk mengakhiri hidupnya karena merasa stress, bosan, dan depresi dengan hidup yang mereka jalani. Kesulitan keuangan, kondisi keluarga yang dingin dan tak ada kasih, kekerasan dalam rumah tangga maupun kekerasan dan pelecehan yang dilakukan orang tak dikenal, kehilangan orang yang dikasihi, maupun putus cinta adalah penyebab-penyebab umum orang bunuh diri. Cara yang beragam untuk mengakhiri hidup mereka pun mereka lakukan. Ada yang berusaha minum obat nyamuk (saya pikir waktu dia melakukannya ia berharap rasanya akan seperti jus melon...), ada yang mencoba menjadi Spiderman dengan meloncat dari atap gedung, ada yang mencoba bungee jumping dari atas jembatan tanpa tali pengaman, ada yang mengira ia memiliki kekuatan Wolverine untuk menyembuhkan luka tusuk hingga mereka bunuh diri dengan pisau, ada yang tidak bisa baca takaran suatu obat hingga akhirnya overdosis, dan ada pula yang mengira dirinya ayam bakar sehingga membakar diri sendiri.
Kenapa sih mereka melakukan semua itu? Semurah itukah sebuah nyawa? Saya pikir tidak ada toko di dunia ini yang menjual nyawa dengan harga obral yang murah, bahkan dengan harga termahalpun tidak ada sejarahnya orang menjual barang yang disebut nyawa. Nyawa kita ada di tangan Tuhan, Dialah yang empunya semuanya! Dialah yang berhak mengatur hidup kita, bukan diri kita sendiri! Sekali hilang dari dunia, nyawa tidak bisa kembali lagi, kecuali jika Tuhan yang membuat keajaiban! Jadi kenapa harus membuang-buang nyawa?
Mari kita mencoba pahami apa yang Paulus coba tuliskan di surat kepada jemaat Filipi. Paulus berkata bahwa baginya hidup adalah Kristus dan mati adalah keuntungan. Sesungguhnya hidup kita ini milik Kristus, dan jika kita hidup, kita hidup untuk Kristus! Jangan berpikir egois dengan menganggap bahwa hidupmu itu milikmu sendiri dan hanya engkau yang berhak mengaturnya sesuka hati. Kita hidup untuk memuliakan Tuhan, itulah tujuan utamanya. Kita juga hidup untuk memberitakan nama Yesus yang adalah kabar baik kepada orang-orang yang belum mengenal Dia, agar kerajaan sorga bisa mereka peroleh ketika mereka mati kelak. Sedangkan kalau keputusan untuk mengakhiri nyawa kita ambil, kerajaan neraka lah yang akan diperoleh. Ingat, kita tidak berhak untuk mengakhiri hidup kita, hanya Tuhanlah yang berhak! Jangan membuat senang iblis dengan menambah dirimu sebagai penghuni neraka! Hiduplah untuk melayani Tuhan segenap hatimu, dan pada waktunya nanti engkau akan mengalami kematian, dan keuntungan yang kekalpun akan engkau peroleh, yaitu keuntungan memasuki kerajaan sorga yang abadi dan penuh kebahagiaan, sukacita, dan kedamaian. Jadi pilihlah dengan bijak, hidup di dunia melayani Tuhan dengan sedikit kesulitan di dalamnya yang hanya bersifat sementara tapi berujung hadiah kerajaan sorga,,, atau menyelesaikan hidupmu dengan bunuh diri dan lepas dari kesuiltan dunia tapi masuk dalam siksaan api yang kekal? Pilihan ada di tangan kita, choose wisely! Tuhan memberkatimu! (DH)

Hidup dan mati adalah milik Tuhan
Keduanya adalah dua sisi mata koin yang ada di dalam dompetnya Tuhan
Tuhanlah yang berhak memakai koin itu, bukan koin itu sendiri yang mengontrol hidupnya
Jadi, serahkanlah hidupmu secara penuh pada-Nya... Dia tahu yang terbaik untuk kita...

SEVENTH REFLECTION FROM THE BOOK OF PHILIPIANS:

"LIVING FOR THE SAKE OF CHRIST OR DEAD FOR THE SAKE OF SATAN?"

Philipians 1:21

"For me to live is Christ and to die is gain."


A lot of people took the decision to end his life because they feel stress, boredom, and depressed with the life they live. Financial hardship, family conditions that cold and there was no love, violence and harassment by unknown persons, loss of a loved one, or a breakup is the common case that causes suicides. A variety of ways to end their lives they did. Some are trying to take mosquito repellent (I think when he does that, he hoped it was going to be like melon juice ...), some trying to be a Spiderman by jumping from the roof of the building, some have tried a bungee jumping from the bridge without a safety rope, some of them think they have the power to heal themselves like Wolverine, so they they commit suicide with a knife, some can not read the dosage of a drug until they overdose themselves, and some also want to be a grilled chicken that he burning himself.
Why they do all of that? Is life that cheap? I think there is no store that sells life in this world with a cheap bargain price. There is no history of people selling stuff called life. Our lives is in the hands of God, He who owns everything! He is entitled to regulate our lives, not ourselves! Once lost from the world, life can not go back again, unless God makes miracles! So why should we wasting our lives?
Let us try to understand what Paul is trying to write in a letter to the congregation of Philipians. Paul said that for him to live is Christ and to die is gain. Indeed we belong to Christ, and if we live, we live for Christ! Do not think selfish to assume that your life is yours alone and only you are entitled to arrange it as you pleased. We live to glorify God, that's the primary objective. We also live to proclaim the name of Jesus who is the good news to people who do not know Him, so that they can obtain the kingdom of heaven when they die. Meanwhile, if the decision to end the life we take, the kingdom of hell is to be obtained. Remember, we do not have the right to end our lives, only God has the right! Do not make the satan happy to add you as a resident of hell! Live to serve the Lord with all your heart, and you will get a beautiful profits, the profits to enter the kingdom of heaven that is eternal and full of happiness, joy, and peace. So choose wisely, live in the world to serve God with a little temporary difficulties in it but got a reward of endless kingdom of heaven,,, or finish your life with suicide and escape the world's difficulties but enter the eternal torment in hell? Both are two sides of a coin that is in God's purse
God who is entitled to use the coin, not the coin itself is controlling her life
So, let your life be controlled by Him, He's the Boss ... He knows best for us ...
